Being a startup founder isn’t that hard.
You just need:
A good idea.
One that solves a real problem.
For people who actually care enough to pay.
Then you figure out who those people are.
How to reach them.
And how to convince them to try something new.
You learn to sell – even if you’ve never sold anything before.
You raise money.
Or bootstrap.
Or both at the same time.
You hire great people…
without the budget to hire great people.
And somehow keep them motivated while the roadmap keeps changing.
You need to understand tech.
Maybe write some code.
But also know when not to.
Understand design.
User experience.
Distribution.
Think about customer acquisition.
Retention.
Churn.
Send investor updates.
Keep the team aligned.
Watch morale.
Track cash flow.
Runway.
Unit economics.
Remember that traction isn’t just revenue.
Growth isn’t just marketing.
And being busy isn’t the same as building something that works.
You validate ideas.
Move fast.
But not so fast you break the wrong things.
And not so slow someone else ships first.
All while trying to keep your mental health intact.
Sleep occasionally.
And remind yourself why you started.
Like I said. Not that hard. (Crying for all the founders out there)
